"Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die" - The Buddha
This painting is very important to me. If you wish to interpret this for yourself then read no further. (and tell me about your interpretations!! I love hearing them.) This is about partisanship, but on a more basic level it is about our tenancy to get caught up in arguing with each other and loose track of the things that we are fighting for. It is about the reality of anger and hatred.
I had the idea rolling around in my head for a long time. I want to do a whole series of animals performing allegories for human experiences and struggles. There is some info on the blog, under the label "anger", [link] and I also put together a very convenient WIP compilation: [link]
Recently it has showed in Miami, In the Wynwood district at the Jakmel art gallery: [link] and also at the Coral Springs Museum of Art at their December faculty show. This month it's in the student show at FAU...where I go to school crossing fingers that some of my submissions get into the all-florida exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum (spent 30 bucks on submission fees!! better get something in...a cash prize wouldn't be bad either)
So wonderful! I really love this style. And not only the way it is done, but also all the things that are going on in the painting.. I would love to hang this on my wall for sure Good work!
I like how the snakes sort of blend into the background (the relay serious problems usually go unnoticed until it is too late).
